Lets make believe it summer!

Ok....Ok....lets be brutally honest here.....its cold!  Having just cycled 10 miles in chilly wind with blue hands (who is going to design a beautiful range of 'summer gloves?')  I agree that its very hard to feel summery.
I look at my gorgeous floaty, lightweight wardrobe essentials and close the doors as I slip on yet another cosy jumper.....long live the English summer!
Have decided however that it is now essential to build a summer myth! I cannot bear to look at my pasty white flesh any longer and am determined to create the illusion of  beach bronzed and sun kissed health....in my own bathroom.
First...... exfoliate.....you may as well not bother home bronzing if you miss out this step as you will get patchy areas and give the game away.......run fragrant warm bath and scrub the life and the circulation back into your skin with ethica 'winter warming scrub'. Second.....moisturise the areas that are more likely to absorb extra tan (knees, elbows, wrists)
Thirdly.....put the gloves on and apply tanning lotion (St Tropez is still my no 1 choice) in long upwards strokes, less is more here as you can always re-apply tomorrow and build up the colour while imagining that you are on your second day of lying in the mediterranean sun!
Now pour yourself a fresh fruit juice (with an umbrella if it helps) and wait for your tan to appear.!
