I was asked the other day if there are any products which treat pigmentation marks and I suggested the following Rosehip seed oil is rich in Vitamin A and C, and will help to defy the ageing process, it is also a great oil for helping to fade pigmentation marks caused by exposure to the sun or post childbirth.Roship is also high in essential fatty acids and vitamins....all a bonus for our skin, Ok.....So its a little gloomy but, here is a little Spring reasoning to cheer us up.
Snowdrops in abundance will last longer because of this gentle spring rain. You have the perfect excuse to stay home and pamper yourself. A little 'home maintenance ' (and we're not talking hoovering). Wax a little, we all like a clean surface.... scrub here and there with a gentle exfoliant, for your body brown sugar and olive oil will do just fine, then perhaps a touch of ironing with some facial massage to smooth out any fine lines....try a vitamin e capsule or evening primrose (they are not just for swallowing!) And finally a little buffing to finish a lazy Sunday, with a soft chamois buffer and a little cuticle oil your nails will be shiny and nourished............Now who said housework was boring? Stress and the signs of ageing go hand in hand, notice how at the end of a heavy week you may look drained and tired....and yet youre looking at the same skin which last week looked fresh and vibrant? Stress is the problem and how to effectively combat stress to prevent its adverse effects on the body.
Excersise, although perhaps the last thing on your mind at the end of a long day, is a great help. Even 10 minutes of stretching tired and acheing muscles will relax and calm and show its benefits in your face, Yoga being one of the greatest stress busters on the planet and meditation, the path to a more balanced life. Ok....am off to practice what I preach, as its been a hectic week for me too...it out into the woods for a leg stretch with the dog and soak up the light drizzle that is loitering over Norfolk today....you gotta love our weather!! OOOOOH what a beautiful morning...and how much difference it makes to our energy.
Spring is springing and sun is shining.....so its just a matter of time before we may have to bare our bodies and rip off those layers (thank Goodness!) Start looking after yourself now and benefits will be reaped just in time for summer....thin out the bad (saturated) fats, bulk up the greens, pour in the water and start really loving your skin inside and out. Exfoliate, exfoliate, the old Clinque mantra, stands the test of time, shed the old skin cells and love the new...am feeding mine with the oh so beautiful Clarins Orchid oil (with patchouli, rosewood and blue orchid.....divine) Book a facial to encourage you to start your new regime.....call it a mothers day treat if you're a mum and feel you need an excuse (better than lunch with the inlaws perhaps?) |
